01 Problem
Engineer's portfolio was a marketing page, not proof of craft. Work deserved a system demonstrating architecture decisions — not screenshots.
02 Approach
Turborepo monorepo: apps/web (Next.js portfolio), packages/ui (shared components), packages/config (ESLint/TS/Prettier). Micro-frontends — independently deployable sections. GitHub Actions CI/CD: lint, typecheck, test, build, Vercel preview deployments. Sentry error tracking. Custom analytics. Supabase for dynamic content. The portfolio *is* the reference implementation.
03 Outcome
Portfolio is a teaching tool — engineers study its architecture, monorepo, component library. Preview deployments = every PR is live demo. Zero-downtime deploys. Monorepo scales to new apps without config drift.
04 Why it matters
Because the best proof of craft is the craft itself.
